Do you Groove? Groovebook that is…

I don’t now about you but now that they make phones with decent cameras, I never hesitate to take a picture when I’m out and about.  My kids don’t hesitate to take pictures of them and their friends either.  So I tend to have a bunch of pictures on my phone that just seem to hang out there because, well, I forget about them. Or they may be good pictures but I don’t have a specific use for them yet – a layout, a frame, whatever.
Well, when I was at convention this summer I started hearing about people talking about this new think – Groovebook.  It was a monthly service that is automatically printed and mailed to you monthly.  They come in this neat little book that you can tear the perforated pictures out of.  The pictures are a little thinner then what you might get printed off at Costco or Wolf Camera but they are perfect for sending grandparents pictures (you can even send them the whole book one month), giving your kids the pictures they took or using them for our new My Crush books (shown below).

Here is a picture of the book as I received it:

I have received the book for two months now and love it.  My kids look so forward to getting it and tearing out “their” pictures.  The best part – the monthly fee is only $2.99! That is actually the fee for shipping.  How awesome is that.
Try it for yourself:
  • Just download the FREE Groovebook app on your phone
  • Follow the signup instructions
  • Enter this promo code HICKS60 during checkout to get your first book absolutely free!
  • Begin reviewing and uploading your photos.
Super easy!  I will say the first book had pictures from my iphone4 (the very first version of the iphone4) which I was very unimpressed with my phone’s camera.  The pictures from Groovebook weren’t great either.  This second book had pictures from my new Samsung Galaxy S4 and the pictures were crisp and clear! So, the book will only be as good as your phone’s camera but for free the first month and $2.99 each month afterwards it’s worth giving it a try.  Don’t forget to get a My Crush book to tell the story behind the pictures too!
