I was in a Flash Mob!!

I am so embarrassed that I have not blogged more recently.  Our newest idea book is here and absolutely amazing!!! You are going to love it.  I have been dying to scrap and show everything off but we have had a whirlwind summer ending with a quick trip to NY to visit family last week.  Needless to say I am more behind then ever.  However, I didn't want you all to think I had forgotten about you.

I had told several of you I was going to participate in a flash mob when I went to convention and yes I did!  It was a blast and I am so glad I did it.  Here is the video for you to see.  This is a video from another consultant so I can't point out exactly where I am but my good friend Barb Carrico is the one you see when the camera goes all the way to the left each time.  Fun, fun!!!

I hope it makes you HAPPY!

Last Day of Convention!

Whew!  What a long and exciting week.  It is so hard to believe that convention is over but I feel like I need a week long nap.  Not going to happen of course.  Smile

Convention really was amazing!  On our last day, we had all morning creative sessions and then a Q&A with Jeannette herself.  During the creative sessions we were given supplies to make 10 super cute cards and our new Base & Bling workshop kit to create some new wearable art jewelry.  Now, I know this doesn’t seem like it has anything to do with scrapbooking or cardmaking but we make these beautiful embellishments for our cards and layouts, so why not carry them over and use them on some jewelry or gift giving items!  We had so much fun creating and it really is cute, inexpensive and fun to do.  I may even have a workshop to do more with all of you.  E-mail me if your interested.

We were also given a special paper pack and stamp set to commemorate the convention.  We usually get a stamp set but this was the first year we have ever received a matching paper pack – how fun!  Remember how I said our theme was Viva!, well, I thought they carried the theme well over to the papers and stamps.  Here is what we received.  I can’t wait to get my pictures developed and show you how the layouts looked in the end – cccuuuuutte.

During the Q&A, it was so wonderful to hear her talk about her love of Close to My Heart and her love for God.  She was quick to point out that her Heavenly Father is the most important person to her and because of that, how he has blessed her through CTMH.  You don’t hear CEO’s say that very often anymore but how refreshing when they do.  It reconfirmed that I am definitely at the right company.  I love Close To My Heart!!!

That’s all for now but I can’t wait to tell you all about our brand new Cricut cartridge that will totally revolutionize the way you scrapbook.  It is amazing!!!  Keep checking back for more details coming soon!

More Fun Times in FL

IMG_5159
Today was another great day at our annual convention.  We started the day with the hilarious antics of our executive team.  The most funny part was that it wasn’t suppose to be funny - but it was hilarious!!!  They started my day off laughing until I was almost crying.

Our afternoon was full of workshops on our newest products.  It’s called Extravaganza and it is mini classes where you get to see amazing artwork all created with the newest product.  Honestly it is one of my most favorite things of convention but sssshhhhh don’t tell anyone – I really do love it all.
During Extravaganza I had to take a potty break and ran out only to find a sticky boy on a sign out front.  OK – let me explain Sticky Boy.  He is actually the Close to My Heart mascot but is very hard to find.  Every year, corporate hides differed stamps of him all through out convention and those of us who are lucky enough to find him feel very blessed.  In 8 years with Close to My Heart, this was the first year I found him – WHOOOO HOOOO!!!  I only found a baby but boy was I happy.

Here is sticky all dressed up for the theme of our convention – Viva!  I can’t wait to stamp with him and make some fun little projects.
So back to Extravaganza, here we do really get to see some amazing new artwork but as of our new Fall Catalog, we will now be caring our own line of Jewelry.  Now don’t let that fool you.  We are not changing focuses or leaving scrapbooking and stamping behind – that is our foremost priority but why not use some of our accents and accessories to create some beautiful wearable art too?!?  At extravaganza we were able to see this beautiful collection created by another consultant.

What do you think?  All of these were made with our fabrics and accents but wait until I show you how to make some with our accents and liquid glass – GORGEOUS!!!
We also received these goodies:

After Extravaganza we headed back to our room to get ready for our Banquet and Awards dinner but not before I ran into some more friends.

Tomorrow is another fun day.  We have lots of crafty goodness set up for the morning so make sure you keep checking back to get in on all the goodness.  Also, don’t forget, the retired list has been posted here and items are only available while supplies last – and they are going fast.  Get your items before they are gone.

Chat at you soon! (but please feel free to leave comments too! Smile)

Having fun in Florida for Convention!!!!

This is always one of my favorite times of the year - Convention time!!!! Our big roll out of new products always happens at convention and I is always Hot, Hot, Hot!!!

And though I love being here for the new product unveil, I truly look forward to catching up with friends and other consultants. It is so good to see some good old friends and make some new ones too.

One of the other great things about convention is making fun goodies for each other. Here are a few of the goodies some friends made me.

Here is a pad of paper, pencil, a cute lanyard made from our For Always & Chantilly Fabric, a sweet Mickey pin made from our Black glitter paper and extra ribbon.

Look at the cute pouch made for me by my direct upline, Chris Szczechowski. It was holding a new pair of micro scissors. Whoo - whoo!!!!

Keep checking back as I promise to post more as it happens!
